Toronto, Canada

Caught your attention didn’t I?

I just returned to Canada after nearly four months away. It was a bit of a difficult flight home emotionally. I had a layover in Miami and it felt very strange. There was a lot of Spanish but obviously I was back in North America. I started feeling the anxiety creeping. Was it a mistake to come back?

My neighbours who had kept the keys to my apartment to use my fridge for beer on the patio left keys out for me. As I entered the apartment all of the anxiety vanished as I saw my bed was full of balloons to welcome me home.

So sweet, right?

Then I shut the door and saw a page torn from a pornographic magazine. I won’t share what it was but it made Penthouse look tame.

I was confused.

As I put my bags down I realized this wasn’t the only obscene thing in my room, for some reason there were women’s lacy panties on my lamp, a painting, my thermostat. I looked down and saw the head of the bed was a collage of pornography and someone had placed porn origami on my living room table.

Yes, pornigami.

Oddly enough this made me giggle and I was happy to be home; happy to come back to neighbours who were thoughtful enough to prank me. I discovered more porn around the apartment. Little tiny porn ads in drawers, panties in my fridge, more porn in the washroom.

I was exhausted so I just laughed and went to bed. Then I felt something rustling under my ear, they had placed more porn in my pillow case.

Today was tough but tomorrow will be better thanks to good friends.

That is so hilarious, but incredibly thoughtful as well. Seems like it was just what you needed to lighten the load of returning home.

  2. Pranking is fun!

  3. When I saw the first picture I thought you were in the wrong apt. as the bed was made…but then I realized your neighbours not only pranked you but probably cleaned up for you as well. As we both know you will never get the “Good Housekeeping” seal of approval! It is good to live where you are!

OMG – I’m glad you have such a great sense of humor about this! I think I’d be way embarrassed if this happened to me. Well, it probably depends on the friends who were responsible.

This is going to make me think twice about who I ask to pick my mail and water the plants the next time I go on a trip.

He he he that is so cute. You must have been initially going …WTF??? before you realised it was a joke.

So awesome that your friends thought of a hilarious way to make it easier!
