Well if you are here it means you’ve noticed the new site design!
I have been contemplating change for over a year. I really struggled with finding the perfect design, but I didn’t know what it was and I didn’t know how to get there. In the end I realized I should take the approach that I do with life.
It doesn’t have to be perfect, simply better.
So here is my better site and I’ve been so excited to launch this and am so thankful to Chris Richardson in Australia who stayed up late yesterday to go live – seriously if you need technical help with your site he’s your guy.
The site change marks a shift in focus as well. I’ve noticed that a lot of you read from day to day but when you’re planning a trip you want all the content in one place – preferably on your iPad.
So moving forward I’m creating PDF ebooks that you can download including all the nitty gritty details of where I stayed, ate and who I toured with. It’s a lot more work but I think it will be really useful for you.
To mark the new design there are a few great brands who are contributing great prizes for newsletter subscribers for a random draw on August 15th.
I am a huge fan of Tieks and I have worn them throughout North and South America and on the tough cobblestones of Spain and Italy.
Yes they are pricey but if you care about your feet they are a small investment. I’ve now had mine over 18 months and they’re still going strong. They are providing a $100 gift certificate to 2 lucky newsletter subscribers.
I have been writing about Eagle Creek packing cubes from day one. Although I now rarely travel with a backpack they are on all of my packing lists as they make life SO much easier. They are my number one tip for travel and Eagle Creek is giving away a Pack-It Starter Set. US and Canada only – sorry international readers.
Perfect for travelers who don’t want to buy an entire packaged tour but want to take day trips. Urban Adventures has a really great tour in Toronto called When Pigs Fry where you discover why Toronto is called Hogtown and you visit some bacon loving restaurants. But they also have tours all over the world and are offering a tour for 2 anywhere in the world (except Machu Picchu day tour).
