I mentioned that I’m planning big things for the site. Slowly for the last year I’ve been creating a list of resources for you when you begin to plan your trip.
You see I get lots of emails. Emails asking for where to eat, where to go, what to see, where to stay. So many emails I wondered why I wasn’t sharing important details.
So behind the scenes I’ve been slowly working to create resource pages for people planning a trip, it will be a new section of this site under the Resources tab up top. It’s been taking a long time to try to catalog 5 years of travel details and present it in an easy way.
This is why I was on board when Yonderbound contacted me to partner on hotel recommendations. They just cut my work by 95% and it’s easier for you to use.
Yonderbound is different than other booking sites. I’m a visual person and so I love that it’s like a digital scrapbook. You can create shortlists to compare hotels, notes to share with others and finally book the hotel. Like Pinterest you can create boards of Yonderboxes so you can save great hotels for future use.
But even if you don’t want to put all your faith in me, TripAdvisor recommendations are included so you can check out what others said too.
It’s a win-win situation. You get all my best recommendations and I get a small referral fee if you book a hotel at no extra cost to you. Someday that will buy me a new camera to shoot more food videos. I have my eyes on a new Panasonic GH4 but I’m drifting off-topic…
I’m sharing hotels I like and are centrally located, on each Yonderbox I’ll also share a few budget options as well as luxury hotels I like. But in addition to the price I can share my own two cents on why I like each hotel and you can choose one that’s right for you.
My goal is to be caught up by the end of October. Let me know if you have any cities or countries you’d like hotel recommendations for now!
