Jasper, Alberta

I didn’t stay long enough. Jasper is a tiny town but four days was not enough. I spent most of my time in town and sucking at snowboarding and while I had such a good time I barely scratched the surface.

The Winter Guide to Jasper I shared last week really touches on the breadth of activities so close to town in the heart of winter but I’m starting to think I’d like to see it in warmer temperatures.

I might even fancy a short hike or two in summer or autumn. We’ll see…there’s so much to explore in Canada and the more I discover fuels a desire to see my own country.

I quickly shot this video of Jasper just to give an idea on how it may be different than other towns in Western Canada – especially Banff, which has a bit more of a resort feel.

I hope you enjoy!

Disclosure: I was a guest of Jasper Tourism through a project with the Navigate Media Group but they did not request I write a favourable review or include so many clips of pints from the Jasper Brewing Company.

I agree – I’d love to go back in the summer and hike…yet then I’d have to deal with my fear of bears…

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I’ve never seen a bear either, thanks for putting that thought in my head 🙂

I love Jasper. Have visited both in summer and winter and I can tell you they are both great! I am hoping to try autumn and spring at some point. The mountains remind me of the Himalayas . . . but with good beer!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

What did you do in the summer. I’d love to go back but I’m not a huge hiker. I like walking all day, just not up steep hills.

As a Canadian I’m not a fan of winter either, but if you’re going to be here you need a view of the Rockies.
