Not tame but unafraid.

This is how our guide Juan described the Galapagos animals to us when we first arrived.

Also to explain to us that we needed to keep our distance and refrain from touching anything or any of the animals – no matter how close they approached us.

It is unbelievable how many animals you see and how close you are to them. Birds don’t fly away, they just continue with their business.

I wanted to shoot a Galapagos trip video with Exodus Travels because I didn’t think my writing or photography was strong enough to capture the overwhelming aspect of the Galapagos.

The video is a bit too long but each island is so unique I wanted to show just how much you could see in eight days because I had no idea.

And if I could ask a small favour. I would love for you to subscribe to my YouTube channel.

I’m spending the summer learning and working on video and it would mean so much to me.

If you have a problem viewing the image check out my video on the Galapagos Island Tour here.

Disclosure: I was a guest of Exodus Travels through a project with the Navigate Media Group but did not request I write a favourable nor spend three days editing this Galapagos video or 12 hours uploading it because wifi on the Galapagos is so slow!

Wow! You nailed it. I can’t imagine shooting video and the “actors” actually cooperating. My Galapagos appetite is even more whetted.

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Aww thanks. You would not believe how much I left out, there is SO much to see.

  3. Stunning video! Makes me want to visit Galapagos even more now…

  4. Great video, Ayngelina!! And as Jonathan said “actors” were really helpful.
I hope to make it to Galápagos this year.
    cheers,

      Adorable animals always help!

  5. So cool! This reminded me of my 6th grade teacher who took a trip to the Galapagos and came back with stories of the animals there. Looks like it was a memorable experience, I especially the shot with all the rays.

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Every day it was something completely new. Incredible to see so many animals in such a small place.

  6. Great video! Love the underwater shots and the guy beside the STOP sign 🙂 Good choice of music and typeface too.

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Thanks so much, definitely a labour of love.

  7. Andi of My Beautiful Adventures says:

L-O-V-E!!!!!!!!!! What an awesome video! I want to book my flight NOW. I love how that seal came up in the water and touched that lady. I would have died from joy if that had been me haha.

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

You would love this place, you guys definitely need to go soon.

  8. Caroline Eubanks says:

Turned out great! I’m trying to get better at video myself, with mixed results. Missed you at TBEX!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I am trying to just give myself a break and go through the process of learning. No one is amazing in the beginning and I just need to be patient. I’d like to say missing TBEX was hard but with this scenery I would be lying.

  9. I’ve been waiting so long to see this! I think you’ve captured the vibe of the Galapagos really well. You just brought back so many memories. Loving the underwater shots of the sea lions!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I never tire of the sea lions, they are amazing.

  10. Ahhh, me and my partner just decided to remove the Galapagos from our itinerary for next year because of the cost. After watching this video I want to put it right back on there!!! It look amazing!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I didn’t go to the Galapagos the first time I came to Ecuador and I was here 3 months. There is a place on the coast called Poor Mans Galapagos and it’s not the same but it’s cheaper and you can get a taste of the wildlife. I would just say if you are going to come here you need to splurge. You can’t see what I saw without a cruise, most of the islands are too far away for day trips. But if you spend the money it is definitely an amazing time.

  11. Michael Hodson says:

Doing a great job with video these days. Plus, I am jealous you got to go here 😉

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Well it’s easy to take solid video when the subject is as amazing as this.

  12. Diana Edelman says:

Gorgeous video. I would LOVE to visit the Galapagos!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I know how much you care about animals, did you know you can actually volunteer here. Santa Cruz is a park and you can volunteer in conservation. It’s right up your alley.

  13. Great Video!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Thanks so much Sal, it took days to do but I am really happy with it.

  14. TammyOnTheMove says:

Wonderful video! Brings back fond memories from when I went to the Galapagos in 2009.

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

It really is such a special place.

  15. Richard Crest says:

Galapagos Island is amazingly beautiful. Sea lions are fun to watched.

  16. Wow – fantastic job, Ayngelina! You’re inspiring to take up video now instead of just photos. Maybe I’ll do that when I’m in Switzerland in a few weeks here.

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Taking video has somehow reinspired me to document a place. I just need the patience to realize it won’t be perfect from the beginning.

Let me know how Switzerland goes.

      1. I will…and try to post the good ones on the blog 🙂

  17. Phenomenal! I think that you’ll do just fine with these new video undertakings 😉 looking forward to more!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I am definitely happy I did it, conveys so much more than photos.

  18. I am not even kidding, every time I see your photos or videos from Galapagos, I tear up a bit. It is just too overwhelmingly beautiful and amazing, I can hardly handle it. I really think this is the only destination in the world that I would want to save up for and spend an insane amount of money on just so I wouldn’t miss out on this incredible place.

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

It is a really special place. I didn’t expect to love it so much but I don’t want to leave.

  19. Global Nomads says:

Thanks for the awesome images and virtual tour to Galapagos. We have been dreaming about going there but seeing the place through your lens in much better for the environment and the animals. Happy travels!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Thanks SO much, it is a great way to kick off my return to Ecuador.

  20. Scott - Quirky Travel Guy says:

I have to agree with everyone – that’s a terrific video, Ayngelina. So many cuts – I can see why it took three days to edit. But it was well worth it!

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I feel good that I created something concrete that I go back and look at to remember. Although the images are so amazing it’s hard not to make a good video.

  21. I love this video. I used it to show my mom some of the islands we’ll be visiting in October. Did you have a stand-out favorite island?

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

I think most people like Genovesa and Floreana the most as there are tons of sea lions.

  22. Nice video!
A fabulous record of the islands

  23. Carmen Perez says:

    Hola amigos!

    bUEN VIDEO!!

Do you know if you can have internet connection in the islands?
I will travel in this agency (up) And they told me there are sometimes, depending on the islands in which we are.
I have to check my mail at times, that’s why the connection is important.
And the other is if you can buy with euros in the city. (My english is not very good).
    🙂

    1. Ayngelina Author says:

Hola!

I hope this helps, excuse my Spanish 🙂

  24. Prime Safaris says:

    Wooowww!!! This is so beautiful!

This island reminds of some of the Islands in my country Uganda especially Ngamba Island found in the middle of Lake Victoria. On your safari in Uganda, please visit this island and watch, feed, play with these peaceful orphaned chimpanzees. As part of your adventure, you will also see several bird-life as well as different tree species.
